MEET THE ARTIST
painted among the trees in the Suffolk countryside
I’m Rosie. I trained in Fine Art and spent years as a curator working with artists, painting for pleasure alongside. In 2020 I began painting the animals in my life, starting with my spaniels, Merry and Flora.
Each portrait is a one-off painting of your pet, made by hand in gouache (an opaque watercolour paint with rich colour and a soft, velvety finish) on heavyweight paper, and finished with their name, lettered by hand, if you wish. Your pet deserves a masterpiece. Let me create one for you.
-

painted by hand
Gouache on toned paper, every hair and whisker put down with a brush.
-

their character, not just their markings
The wink, the tongue, the stolen sock. I ask about who they are before I pick up a brush.
-

made to keep
Painted on heavyweight acid-free paper, mounted to fit a frame, and wrapped so it arrives gift ready.
every portrait has a reason
Some of my portraits have been birthday surprises. Some have helped ease the ache of saying goodbye. One was a surprise for a much-loved grandma.
Yours might be one of these, or something else entirely. Our time with them is never long enough, and a portrait is a way of capturing a magical connection.

Painting Clive: rest in wild adventure

From my studio in the Suffolk countryside, I paint gouache portraits that capture the quirks that make your pet yours: the soulful stare, the wonky ear, the look that says "dinner's late."
Every portrait starts with a photograph you love and becomes an original piece, painted by hand in gouache: a velvety, matte paint with soft, rich colour. On heavyweight 250gsm acid-free paper in a warm grey, it gives each portrait a storybook glow that's made to last. Each one is one of a kind, just like your pet.
